The Great Houses of Green Silk (clo. Velike Obitelji Zelene Svile), also informally called Pomeranian Houses (clo. Pomeranijske obitelji) are a group of aristocratic families and noble bloodlines that trace their lineage back to the semi-legendary King Klod and have recieved official recognition for it. The status of a Great House of Green Silk is a bestowed by the current Divine King of Green Silk and the Sunlight Blade to any house that descends from Klod, a house can descend from Klod and not have this status. Following both the Codex of Arkona and the Codex of Solun, the title of Divine King of Green Silk and the Sunlight Blade can only be held by a member of a Great House of Green Silk.
All Houses of Green Silk are divided into three "Tribes" which are a set of traditions meant to bring houses together. There are three Tribes, each representing a son of Klod. The tribe is assigned and determined by tracing through which of Klod's children is his blood derived. When ordaining new houses, the tribe is automatically inherited by their parent house if their parent house belongs to a tribe.
The only exception to this rule is House of Niklotov which derives from the Rani Tribe yet is fully a part of the Obotrite Tribe.
